The first collectible card game project from Riot Games, initially known as Project K and later rebranded as Riftbound: League of Legends TCG, enters the already crowded TCG market in 2025. Riot Games is globally renowned for developing some of the most played games ever, such as League of Legends and Valorant, as well as for co-creating one of the most watched series on Netflix: Arcane. This provides a strong artistic and narrative foundation, allowing the card game to deliver depth and personality right from the start.

This first set, Origins, lays the groundwork for the game and immerses players in the early lore of the fantasy world of League of Legends. Players can expect a mix of unique champions and familiar characters, united by shared goals and divided into opposing factions. The TCG features both classic 2-player (1v1) matches and a 4-player multiplayer mode (2v2). Each player controls a main character called a “Legend,” along with additional cards known as “Units” and “Spells,” allowing for the creation of unique and iconic decks.

The Origins set contains more than 300 cards.
