Riot Games’ first collectible card game project, initially named Project K and later rebranded as Riftbound: League of Legends TCG, is entering the increasingly crowded TCG market in 2025. Riot Games is globally known for developing some of the most popular games of all time, including League of Legends and Valorant, and for co-producing one of the most-watched series on Netflix, Arcane. This strong artistic and narrative foundation from the League of Legends universe gives depth and character to what already appears to be a highly anticipated trading card game.

This represents the second set of Riot Games’ new TCG, Riftbound. It introduces new Champions to the battlefield, allowing players to take on the roles of some of the most beloved LoL champions, including Ezreal, Irelia, Fiora, Lucian, and many others. It continues to support both classic two-player gameplay (1v1) and a four-player multiplayer mode (2v2). Each player uses a main character called a “Legend,” along with secondary cards called “Units” and “Spells,” enabling the creation of unique and iconic decks.

Each booster pack contains 7 common cards, 3 uncommon cards, 2 foil or higher cards, 1 random-rarity foil card, and 1 token slot. In addition, each box contains on average 6 epic-or-higher rarity cards and 2 alternate-art cards.
